Led Lantern

LED (Light Emitting Diode) is nothing but a semi conductor. It emits incoherent spectrum light when it is activated by electricity. The color of the light depends on the composition of the semi conducting material. Semi conductor diode emits infrared or visible light when it is energized by electric current. The LED consumes very little power compare to conventional lights. Now a days LEDs are used in wide range for different purposes. E. g. As indicators in electronic and electric equipments, as flash light, as Christmas lights, as head lights, as tail lights, rope lights, LED Lantern etc. We must know the features of a Lantern. The Lantern is used to light up camps, picnic places or tents. Now it is understood that the requirement of light intensity in those places. This places are occupied by LED Lanterns. A Lantern consists of metal body covers (top & bottom), a transparent side (glass, fiber, hard plastic etc. ) and a handle.

LED Lantern also have the same figure. In a conventional Lantern, the side glass / transparent wall protects the flame from the wind and resist the heat produced by the flame. In the case of LED Lantern this purpose is not there. So the side wall can be of any transparent material. The LED Lantern is the best replacement for the normal lanterns. As we know the advantages of LED, LED Lanterns are widely used at present. Many companies released their different models of LED Lanterns. As the heat emission is less, the LED Lantern can be used closely. The current consumption is also very less. The LED Lantern can be fitted with chargeable battery to have a back up supply in case of normal power supply failure. LED Lantern can be made compact as the LEDs are small in size.

In a normal flame lantern, the top flame is hitting the handle when it is hanged in the handle. The chance of burning the hand is more in this lantern. In the case of LED Lantern, there is no flame to heat your hand. As explained earlier, the LEDs can produce different colors the LED Lantern can have different colors as per the customers choice. The LED Lantern can accommodate a back up battery, which will help to light up the lantern with out normal power supply. LEDs have long life, so the Lantern also gives best service to the customer. Cleaning the side wall is required in case of normal lantern. Here no maintenance is required in the case of LED Lantern. As the consumption of the LED is less, the battery also gives a long back up. LED Lanterns can be switched to changing colors mode or a fixed color mode. This can be used for indoor and out door purpose. As the size is also small it can be collapsed to smaller size for easy storage. This lantern can be used as a camping light, light for fishing, picnic light etc. The LED Lantern light covers a large area with bright light.
