LED Light Bulbs

LED is nothing but Light Emitting Diode. LEDs are made from semi conductors. LED is a p-n junction diode that emits light when energized by electric charge. A P-N junction diode is a one-way device offering low resistance when forward-biased and behaving almost as an insulator when reverse-biased. The production of this light is a form of electroluminescence. By the use of variety inorganic semi-conductor materials we can produce different colors of LEDs. LEDs are very small in size.

The operating cost of the LED bulbs is reducing by up to 90% because the energy efficiency is more than 10 to 50 times compare to conventional bulbs. The LED bulbs are very beautiful and by the help of the LEDs these LED bulbs can produce different and sharp colors. Its response time is very faster when compared with incandescent lamps. These are versatile also. At present most of the incandescent lamps are replaced by the LED bulbs.

The LED bulbs are made by combining many LEDs i.e., LED bulbs includes more than one LED. By the use of LED bulbs we get so many benefits because of several advantages of LEDs. Different number of LEDs are used in different LRD bulbs. It may be 18, 36 or more. The LEDs are efficient and long lasting. In the future the relamping cost can be reduced by the use of LED bulbs. So the LED bulbs also have these qualities such as efficiency and long lasting. The life of the LED bulbs is an average of 100,000 hours that is approximately 10 years. The power consumption of the LED bulbs is also less.

Till now, the LEDs were mostly used as a single bulb in the applications like instrument panels, electronics, penlights and strings of outdoor Christmas lights. The LED bulbs are now widely used because the cost of the LEDs are reduced due to the new technologies in the manufacturing fields of the LEDs. These LED bulbs are now available in arrays and also in bunches from 2 to 36 bulbs.

There are three different sizes of LED bulbs come with an output of up to 120 lumens. Vivid, Vivid plus and spotlights are the different LED bulbs. In a vivid bulb there is 18 LEDs are used. It is a good reading light. For running this light for twelve hours a day for a whole year the cost will be 80 cents. If we want to reduce the cost of the household lamps, installing the Vivid Plus LED Bulb is very much useful. In this vivid plus LED bulb 36 LEDs are used. And it is a very suitable light for reading. In most spotlights 60 ultra-bright White LEDs are used. For running, these spotlights use only 8 Watts of electricity. This is a money-saving product.

The long life, low power consumption, different outputs, durability and energy saving are the main advantages of LED bulbs. The power consumption of the LED bulb is about 1/30th of a standard bulb. Different outputs are obtained for these bulbs. The outputs of vivid, vivid plus and spotlights are 31,60 and 120 lumens respectively. Because of the great advantages and after all low costs the LED bulbs are used by most of the people for many applications. Hope, in future the use of the LED bulbs will increase.
